The famous leaker Jon Prosser claims to know the design of the Pixel 6 and Pixel Watch from Google … But also the Pixel 6 Pro. But beware, not everyone will like it
Google could again radically change the design of its Pixel 6. After a Pixel 5 in a reduced format and in bioresin to reduce its weight, the manufacturer could return to a more traditional model, or almost. Jon Prosser, famous leaker controversial, claims to know the design of these smartphones. Yes, two.
Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro
The one who became known for his big mouth on YouTube posted a new video and visuals on Thursday, May 13 of what the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro could look like. So, according to him, the name “XL” is gone, but a return to two different dimensions in order to meet all needs.
But the size is not the only difference between the two models. If we take a closer look, we notice that the Pixel 6 displays two cameras here, while the Pixel 6 Pro has 3. This would be a first for the Pixel range which has always relied on the sobriety of the sensors, highlighting its computational photography instead.
A design that won’t appeal to everyone
At the rear, however, the design will certainly not be unanimous. Jon Prosser shows relatively flat Pixel 6s here, but with a very prominent photo block taking up the entire width of the phone. This is reminiscent of what Xiaomi did on the Mi 11 Ultra, but still thinner. It will be recalled that on the Chinese flagship, this idea tends to unbalance the phone and interfere with use. Good point though: this kind of design avoids instability when the phone is flat.
Note for all intents and purposes that a large photo block could portend a very clear improvement in photo quality on the Pixel 6, but we will have to wait to see the first photos captured by the phone to be sure.
Pixel Watch
Alongside the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, Jon Prosser adds to his visuals a connected watch, the long-awaited Pixel Watch. He had already given a first glimpse of it last April.
If we know Jon Prosser for his teasing escapades on Twitter and his multiple failures in terms of dates and sometimes photos (we will remember his photo of the AirPower which was in fact only a third-party accessory), he still has targeted just for the moment on its 3D renderings. For his part, the leaker Max Weinbach corroborates the information by specifying that “Pixel 6 renderings are accurate, but color is not“. Those who do not like orange can be reassured.
